GIZ Connective Cities: Green Corridors

Imagine · GIZ — Connective Cities · 2026

GIZ’s Connective Cities programme convenes municipal practitioners from Germany, North Africa and the Middle East for structured, year-long peer learning — its current cohort on “Green Corridors in the City and its Surroundings”. The platform provides access and facilitation across up to five workshops over the programme year running to March 2027, with AI-supported visualisation of urban development scenarios named on the published agenda of the hybrid kick-off in Cairo, 7–9 April 2026, alongside city presentations, peer consulting and study visits to Cairo’s green infrastructure.

Who took part

Municipal practitioners from Germany, North Africa and the Middle East enrolled in the one-year cohort.

What the tool did

Quick, illustrative visualisation of green-corridor scenarios — explicitly framed as illustrative material rather than formal planning documents, so practitioners can explore ideas freely before anything is formalised; participant data stays within GIZ’s own platform by design.
